Pub of the Year 2013 - The Boat Inn, Ashleworth

Tewkesbury CAMRA secretary, Steve Kisby presents certificates for Autumn Pub of the Season 2012 and Branch 'Pub of the Year' 2013, to The Boat landlord, Ian Lock.

Pub of the Season -  this is our recommendation, made by members, for a local pub serving real ale, that we think is well worth mentioning. Why not give it a try and see why it has been recommended this season!

GREEN CARD ASSESSMENTS

It's a responsibility of each CAMRA branch and sub-branch to maintain an ongoing review of the pubs in their area, in order to decide which hostelries are to be recommended for forthcoming editions of the Good Beer Guide.

YOU can help with this task by completing a Green Card Assessment when you visit any pub in the Tewkesbury sub-branch territory. It only takes a couple of minutes and it means YOU have a say in which pubs are considered for a GBG entry. You can obtain a supply of Green Cards from our Secretary,
Steve Kisby, to whom completed cards should also be returned.

Better still, why not fill in your green cards on-line.  To do this you first need to register with CAMRA (www.camra.org.uk) and when you have your username and password, use these on the Gloucestershire website (www.gloucestershirecamra.org.uk) to fill in a 'green card.

Even if you have no cards to fill in, please do let Steve Kisby know your views about any pubs you visit in our area, specifically about beer quality, range of real ales on offer and standard of service.
